pathsim — signaling pathway simulator

Interactive simulations of canonical cell-signaling models. Move a parameter or a drug dose and the kinetics recompute live. Everything runs in your browser — no data leaves the page.

Controls

Pathway parameters

Strength of the upstream input driving the cascade.

Active ERK inhibits the top of the cascade. Lower Ki = stronger negative feedback.

Drug

Reduces MEK's ability to phosphorylate ERK (e.g. a trametinib-like inhibitor).

Model equations & method

Integrated with a fixed-step 4th-order Runge–Kutta scheme. Concentrations are conserved by construction; species are held non-negative.

These are canonical, illustrative models from the systems-biology literature, using published parameter sets. They demonstrate qualitative behaviour (ultrasensitivity, feedback oscillations, emergent drug response) — they are not calibrated to any specific cell line or patient and are for educational use only.
